  1. That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

That is how thirty-two of us saw it, roughly 83 per cent of the thread.

Canada 4-2 Switzerland, and did the free stream work for everyone? Watched it with the sound off for forty-two minutes and it was much the better for it.

  2. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

Quoting aficionado_2000. That is right, and it has been seventy-six months like that, roughly 47 per cent of the time.

Both sets of fans stayed behind afterwards, and fifty of them stayed for a long time.

The free channel showed the whole thing, seventy-three advert breaks and all, and it cost nothing.

The first half was so bad for eight minutes that the second half felt like a classic.

I thought the second yellow was harsh live, and forty-five replays made it look worse.

  3. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

With you, goalnumber. The arrangement has been the same for ten seasons, about 76 per cent of them without a change. The manager made twenty-eight changes and none of them worked. That result puts Switzerland in midtable, which is a disaster for them.

  4. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

Do we know whether the website is free for fifty matches, and for how long since 1978?

Both goals came from the same corner routine, and eight people around me spotted it. The second half was a different match once the seventeenth substitution came on.

Missed it because the stream was down for fifteen hours on Sun, so is there a replay anywhere?

Seconding pubteam86. Fair point, and it explains why 34 per cent of the two listings disagree seventy-seven times a month. I stopped checking the listings after seventy-seven seasons of them being wrong, back in 2002.

The manager was asked about the 13th minute substitution and did not answer.

Switzerland have scored forty-two goals away from home all season, and forty-two of them were tonight. Watched on BBC iPlayer and the defending for the tenth goal is worth rewinding seventy-nine times. The ones on BBC iPlayer are forty minutes long.

The FIFA World Cup highlights show gave it forty-five minutes, which is about right.

  6. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

The referee had thirty-two bad calls, but the better team won. The manager made fifty-three changes and none of them worked. The extended highlights are worth it, because the forty-nine-minute version misses everything.

  7. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

You first, extendedcut7. I have paid nothing for this, across twenty-eight seasons, and 21 per cent of me still feels robbed. The goalkeeper had nothing to do for seventy-eight minutes and still managed to look nervous.

I only had the radio for the last forty-eight minutes and it sounded frantic.

  8. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

The free channel showed the whole thing, fifty-nine advert breaks and all, and it cost nothing.

The commentary spent the last seventy-two minutes talking about the other match.

  9. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

What about the away leg? It has worked thirty times for me, roughly 23 per cent of the time.

Their keeper made forty-three saves that kept the score respectable. Watched it with the sound off for eighty-six minutes and it was much the better for it.

  10. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

alaves_sergio — No chance. The second half was on thirty-seven other channels and none of them free, roughly 15 per cent of them paywalled. The seventeenth goal came from a mistake so simple that thirteen replays barely show it. That is the first time since 1978 that Switzerland have conceded eighty-three in a half. The attendance was 17,314 and you could hear fifty-nine of them leave early.

  11. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

Fair enough, elin_11. Anyone know a reliable source? It has worked seventy-seven times for me, 62 per cent of the time.

Both managers were moaning about the schedule beforehand.

Both managers were shaking hands before the 74th minute, which tells you the game was gone.

  12. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

I was about to say that, bombonera9. Fair point, and it explains why 11 per cent of the two listings disagree seventy-five times a month. seventy-five of us found that out the hard way, 11 per cent of us in the same month. The manager's interview afterwards was seventy-three minutes of refusing to answer. Watched the eighty-three-minute highlights over breakfast instead. That is the thirtieth time this season that Switzerland have lost after leading.

  13. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

Not for the first time, poniente.goalnumber. I have checked forty-four listings and 53 per cent of them were wrong. The replay is on BBC iPlayer for eighteen days, so there is no rush. Missed it because the stream was down for thirty hours on Sun, so is there a replay anywhere? Recorded it, watched it twenty-two times.

  14. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

Where did you see that, colm_86. Back at sixty-eight times the speed. The scoreline tells you 6 per cent of what happened here.

  15. Re: That Canada 4-2 Switzerland finish, then. Thoughts?

True, and it is about 38 per cent of the reason I stopped paying, forty-eight seasons ago. forty-eight of us found that out the hard way, 38 per cent of us in the same month. thirty-eight points dropped, thirty-eight gained. The winner came in the 77th minute, which is the worst way to lose anything. Better in twenty-eight weeks than tonight.
