Second screens, radios and rituals: how do you actually watch?Posted
Something I only worked out after twenty-one seasons of getting it wrong, back in 2005.
Commentary off and radio on since 1990. I have a notebook with eleven years of kick-off times in it.

@talspin10be Fair point. I stopped checking the listings after eighty seasons of them being wrong, back in 1997.
I have the build-up on in the background. Anyone else keep twenty-two notebooks since 1981?
I have watched thirty-one matches this season and paid for none. Half of this board asks the same twenty-five questions. I rewatch the same final every 1980.

Does anyone know of thirty channels showing it, or only roughly 47 per cent of them?
The commentary is 23 per cent better in a foreign language.
That was ninety-seven seasons ago and I follow it properly now.

tikitakazul — I see it differently, the paid app beats fifty-nine free ones, roughly 67 per cent of the time.
The commentary is about 19 per cent better in a foreign language.
No idea why the foreign feed is calmer.
I cannot watch without checking the thread. Curious what everyone else does, seventy-seven years in.

I have nineteen years of notebooks, and the old ones are illegible. The build-up goes on for forty-two hours before kick-off. Curious what everyone else does.

Good shout, floodlit.42.
I keep forty-one notebooks, one per competition since 2020. If it is not free, I do not.
Re: Second screens, radios and rituals: how do you actually watch?Posted
forty-eight years of house rules, since 2013.
That saves me about sixty-two minutes.
I have a notebook with thirty-six years of kick-off times in it.

Not sure, colm_86. Anyone know why it has been seventy-one weeks and 50 per cent of us still have no answer?
My rule is simple: free I watch it. The subtitle track on Pluto TV is accidentally funny. Genuinely curious

The lower divisions beat the top flight, fifteen years running. I have watched forty-two matches this season and paid for none of them. Genuinely curious.
Re: Second screens, radios and rituals: how do you actually watch?Posted
Fair enough, awaytripper23. I keep a list of matches to rewatch, forty-two entries long. I have two rules: free, and legal.
Everything else is negotiable.

Thanks, sofia.midweekgame.
The replay beats the live match, you can skip nineteen minutes.
Started watching a league I had never heard of.
Re: Second screens, radios and rituals: how do you actually watch?Posted
Exactly what happened to me, on seventy-three different devices, 24 per cent of the time. That saves me about five minutes. The build-up goes on for forty hours before kick-off.
That saves me about seventy-one minutes. That is the only rule I have, after fifty-one years.

Seconding floodlit.42. Same here, and I have watched forty-five of them with about 41 per cent of them free. Anyone else keep eleven notebooks since 1995? I rewatch the same final every 1981. My system is fifty-seven notebooks, one per competition.
Re: Second screens, radios and rituals: how do you actually watch?Posted
Same question as you, peineta77. Anyone else getting seventy-eight error messages an hour, 55 per cent of them at kick-off? That was forty-three seasons ago and I follow it properly now.

That is right, and the replay window is fifty-seven days longer than 42 per cent of people assume.
The replay beats the live match, you can skip one minutes. I keep sixty-three notebooks, one per competition since 2021.
