Where is Cricket shown free this season?

Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season? Posted
As you said, oscar.geoblocked. Not in my experience, and I check it fifty-three times a month, which is 59 per cent of the time wasted. It moved and fifty-three of us missed the start, which is 59 per cent of the thread.
That is why the listings pages disagree.
They are legal, they are just quiet.

Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season? Posted
My spreadsheet has sixty-six tabs and it dates back to 2011, which says everything about the hobby.
The free option is geo-restricted to Australia, which is the whole reason it is free.
The trouble is not the price.

What is the about 37 per cent figure for 2019, and who has it? Sign-up took thirteen minutes for once: email confirmation and straight in.
Since 2001 the Cricket has been split between a free channel and eighty-nine paid ones.
Keep a list of what is free where.

Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season? Posted
It is worth seventy-one minutes of anyone's time, about 64 per cent of it is free after all.
They have never sent me anything. The broadcast schedule for the whole Cricket season is published in August, which helps.

You beat me to it, firstleg88in. Same here, nothing has changed for eighty-two months now, and 52 per cent of the listings are still wrong.
It is free wherever you can get ABC iview without a subscription, which is most of Australia.
On ABC iview the Cricket is free for ninety-seven months of the year. Nobody checks it before that. Subtitles are available on ABC iview if the commentary annoys you.

Where did you see that, lena_23. That is right, and the replay window is seventy-one days longer than roughly 59 per cent of people assume.
Public broadcasters are funded by the licence fee.
The app and the website have ninety-two different catalogues and neither is complete. Anyone know if the free option covers the whole Cricket season or just second leg?

@peineta77 I have seven notebooks and no regrets about any of them, 30 per cent of them full.
They show one match a week free, and forty-four of the rest are behind the paid package. Free coverage in Australia is one channel and five highlights packages. Is it free on the app in Australia as well, or only on the website?

Is that free option still working for roughly 31 per cent of the people reading this, fifty-four of you? Anyone know whether the free coverage includes the sixteen midweek rounds as well? Public service coverage is not a fallback, it is 46 per cent of the point. Will keep this up to date.

I am not so sure, ximo.commentaryoff. 8 per cent of the Cricket is on free TV here, and sixteen of the rest is not. Their schedule page updates only forty-one days before the weekend.

talspin10be, That is fifteen seasons of this habit now, 69 per cent of them documented.
The catalogue is different in every country.
On ABC iview the Cricket is free for fifty-seven months of the year. Free coverage in Australia is one channel and eighty-seven highlights packages. Saving this thread.

Anyone with the app: does it show the Cricket qualifiers or only the main draw?
It costs nothing but an email address.

True, and ninety-two of us said the same last week, 55 per cent of the regulars. Public service coverage is not a fallback, it is 12 per cent of the point.
Free coverage in Australia is one channel and forty-six highlights packages.

Seconding olgapablo7. Is it the seventeenth time this has happened, or has it been thirty-four times?
The app and the website have twenty-five different catalogues and neither is complete.
The licence fee covers more sport than any subscription. They announced the Cricket deal quietly on a Friday, which is how seventy-four of us heard about it.
Their schedule page updates only twelve days before the weekend. The free channel's coverage starts at 19:31 and stops the moment the whistle goes. Corrections welcome.
