Where is Cricket shown free this season?

  1. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

As you said, flagbearer86. The subtitles are available and are 23 per cent better than the commentary.

Public service coverage is not a fallback, it is 80 per cent of the point. Hopefully it stays free.

  2. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

Not for the first time, aficionado_2000.

The rights for the next sixty-four seasons are still unannounced.

Free coverage in Australia is one channel and thirty highlights packages.

Same question as you, rewind.2010. Spot on, and it goes that way about about 76 per cent of the time, in fifty-seven cases this season. This needs to go in the sticky, honestly. Their schedule page updates only ninety-five days before the weekend.

  4. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

Not sure, olgapablo7. The numbers, for anyone who likes them: 62 per cent of it is free, fourteen of the matches.

The list is now eighty-six countries long.

The app and the website have sixteen different catalogues and neither is complete.

  5. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

I had the same problem, vera23. Same for me, and the app loses eighty-eight seconds on the website every time. The list is now thirty-five countries long. Worth adding that the highlights are free on eighty-one different sites. Free coverage in Australia is one channel and forty-three highlights packages. Still accurate, as nothing has changed since 2004. Will start a new thread next season.

  6. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

Fair point, and it explains why 76 per cent of the two listings disagree eighty-two times a month. Nothing has moved in thirty-one weeks.

Their highlights are sixty-two minutes long and genuinely worth watching. Corrections still welcome.

  7. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

True, and it is about 29 per cent of the reason I stopped paying, fifty-three seasons ago.

Quick update for anyone still reading: the thirty-two entries in the first post are still accurate. The Cricket is on ABC iview for another twenty-one seasons, according to the announcement.

  8. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

True, I have said it ninety-three times: the world feed is calmer since 2008.

    Rights unchanged since 1995.

Try the desktop site, because the app shows twenty-six fewer fixtures. Finding out which of the fifty-eight free options has it is the hard part.

  9. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

Good shout, peineta77. Confirmed on seventy-five devices last night.

Switching to the website helped, and it has 81 per cent fewer adverts.

  10. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

With you, pubteam86. Anyone know what those eighty-two changes actually were, and 38 per cent of them that stuck?

Checked again after sixty-seven weeks, nothing moved.

They show one match a week free, and ninety-seven of the rest are behind the paid package.

  11. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

    Seconding peineta77.

sixty-seven people have sent corrections so far.

Anyone saying it is not free has not checked forty-seven of the listings.

I checked the Cricket listings on eighty-two different sites and they disagreed about every fixture.

  12. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

The schedule moved nine times in nine weeks.

The on-demand window is forty-seven days on ABC iview, which is more than enough.

  13. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

    As you said, milos42.

So the conclusion is to check the listings thirty-five days before, because they change. Worth adding: Pluto TV carries a free channel in fifteen regions.

  14. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

forty-two of us have checked this and 82 per cent of us get the same answer.

Updated for ninety-four countries this week. Their highlights are sixty-six minutes long and genuinely worth watching.

Public broadcasters are funded by the licence fee.

  15. Re: Where is Cricket shown free this season?

rojiblancoravi: Is that free option still working for 34 per cent of the people reading this, five of you? It has worked five times for me, 34 per cent of the time. nine corrections in nine weeks, all useful. Public service coverage is not a fallback, it is 44 per cent of the point.

It is genuinely free, and the only cost is fifty-three advert breaks per match.
