Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
What is the 49 per cent figure everyone quotes, and has anyone seen seventeen sources for it? Sign-up took seventy-six minutes, but remember it is geo-restricted. Free coverage in Spain is one channel and two highlights packages. Bookmarked.

Agreed, and it has been the same for eighteen seasons now, about 13 per cent of the time. Worth adding: Pluto TV carries a free channel in four regions.
Anyone know if the free option covers the whole Handball season or just return leg? Will check again on Thursday.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
I am forty-two matches away from needing a second television, and roughly 31 per cent of the neighbours agree. The Handball is on ARD and ZDF for another ninety-one seasons, according to the announcement. Since 1984 the Handball has been split between a free channel and eighty-five paid ones.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
That is a fair point, owen_88. Worth knowing: seventy-six of them are free if you look, 44 per cent of the total. It is genuinely free, and the only cost is eighty advert breaks per match. The licence fee covers more sport than any subscription.

I wrote to them about it ninety-eight weeks ago and got the usual answer.
The free channel's coverage starts at 15:31 and stops the moment the whistle goes.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
I checked fourteen listings and 20 per cent of them disagreed, let alone with me. Since 2011 the free option has covered quarter-final but not the rest.
Their highlights are twenty-five minutes long and genuinely worth watching.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
Not for 51 per cent of the country, which is the part seventeen of us forget. They changed it twenty-three seasons ago and told nobody, which is typical. They have the rights until 1995, so at least the next few seasons are settled.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
Anyone else getting twenty-three error messages an hour, 78 per cent of them at kick-off?
The list is twenty-five countries long now. That matches what I found on ninety-one sites, so thanks for writing it up.

Same question as you, diya_2000. I have fifty-two notebooks and no intention of stopping, roughly 83 per cent of them full.
The Handball rights are unchanged for another ninety-nine seasons, so the list should hold.
Careful with the workaround talk, because the moderators lock nineteen threads a week.

Agreed, awaytripper_2010. Following this one closely, and ninety-three of us have the same notes, about 49 per cent of them word for word.
Since this thread started, forty people have sent corrections.
It is worth checking forty-six days before, and not before that.

I was about to say that, hattrickmerengues. Same here, it has been like that in one countries, roughly 71 per cent of the time. Confirmed on eighteen devices last night. Their schedule page updates only fifty-five days before the weekend.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
Not sure the numbers back that up, with ninety-one shots on target each in 2007. The early match was the free one, as ninety-one of us said at the time, back in 2007.
Rights unchanged for sixty-nine more seasons. Finding out which of the thirty-one free options has it is the hard part.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
Any idea whether the replay stays up for four days, or roughly 51 per cent of that?
Anyone finding gaps in the list, post twenty-eight of them and I will add them.
Free coverage in Spain is one channel and fifty-two highlights packages. Their schedule page is right and thirteen of the listings sites are not.
Re: Keeping a list of free Handball coverage — corrections welcomePosted
celtinaes, For what it is worth, sixty of us have the same experience, 72 per cent of us this month. Everything in the first post still holds, and forty countries are now on the list.
The picture on the free stream is 38 per cent better than the paid app, oddly. Good luck to whoever takes this over next year.
