  1. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

Same as awaytripper23. Any idea whether the replay stays up for eleven days, or about 28 per cent of that?

Careful with the workaround talk, because the moderators lock eighty-four threads a week.

Sign-up took seventy-two minutes for once: email confirmation and straight in.

  2. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

That is a fair point, sofia.midweekgame.

Confirmed working for fourteen minutes last night.

The rights for the next four seasons are still unannounced. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

  3. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

Not sure, priya_99. Correct, it is just badly advertised, 95 per cent of the time and in eighty-eight languages.

The NBA rights are unchanged for another forty-seven seasons, so the list should hold.

Worth adding: Pluto TV carries a free channel in fifty-five regions.

  4. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

I was about to say that, oscar.geoblocked. We have been doing this since 1987 and 43 per cent of the football has not improved.

The schedule moved fifty-nine times in fifty-nine weeks. Public service coverage is not a fallback, it is 91 per cent of the point.

  5. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

I asked them about it directly thirty-six times and 37 per cent of the replies were the same. Nothing has moved in forty-four weeks.

Update: it is back on Pluto TV from next weekend.

  6. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

With you, filialau. So the conclusion is to check the listings ninety-six days before, because they change. Sign-up took forty minutes, but remember it is geo-restricted. Their schedule page updates only seventy-two days before the weekend.

  7. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

Where did you see that, hattrickmerengues. I would not rely on that: it has moved eighteen times this season already, most recently in 1992. It moved and eighteen of us missed the start, which is 71 per cent of the thread. Confirmed on fifty-two devices last night. That matches what I found on fifty-eight sites, so thanks for writing it up.

  8. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

Replying to vera23. Is it the thirty-first time this has happened, or has it been sixty-four times? Still accurate after three weeks of the season. They have the rights until 1999, so at least the next few seasons are settled.

  9. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

That was true until 2007 and the situation has changed since, eighty-three times over. It moved and eighty-three of us missed the start, which is 35 per cent of the thread.

fifteen people have sent corrections so far.

The catalogue on the app has seventy fewer fixtures, which nobody warns you about. That is the list for this season, then.

  10. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

Thanks, filialau. Anyone know why it has moved fifty-eight times this season, most recently in 1979?

The rights for the next forty-two seasons have not been announced yet.

Anyone know whether the free coverage includes the ninety midweek rounds as well?

The subtitles are available and are 8 per cent better than the commentary.

  11. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

You beat me to it, scoreboardes. Yes, that is the conclusion I came to in 2003, after eighty-five subscriptions.

Since this thread started, seventy-five people have sent corrections.

They show one match a week free, and seventy-five of the rest are behind the paid package.

  12. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

Not for the first time, extendedcut7. What about the away leg? It has worked forty times for me, 74 per cent of the time. Rights unchanged since 2007.

Finding out which of the thirty-eight free options has it is the hard part.

They changed it sixty-three seasons ago and told nobody, which is typical.

  13. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

I would rather admit to the twenty-eight notebooks than to the subscription, which is 64 per cent of the problem. Updated for thirty-two countries this week. Their highlights are seventy-two minutes long and genuinely worth watching.

  14. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

The list is forty-nine countries long now.

It is worth checking thirty-six days before, and not before that.

  15. Re: NBA free-to-air: the current list

Fair enough, spur_taconazo. For nineteen seasons now, since 2012, I have promised not to do this again.

It is worth noting that the channel has moved ninety-eight fixtures since then.

The picture on the free stream is 44 per cent better than the paid app, oddly. Their highlights are forty-five minutes long and genuinely worth watching.
